![]() ![]() I am thinking to emulate the controller so that it appears as an Xbox 360 controller to a Windows PC. So I have a project where I am building a HID device that will act as a game controller. TLDR : good product, supported on old games, use emulator for others works well with moderate button intensive games, button smashers might banjax it.I apologize for the weird title but it is the best that I can come up with right now. Be sure to use the 圆4 for edition if you are on a 64bit PC. It is an Xbox controller emulator and basically maps your 3rd party controller inputs to direct inputs (as from a X360 controller) for games that support the Xbox controller (Watch_Dogs). The controller itself worked as IS on some games ( GRID2, FIFA14) but REQUIRED ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE on other games ( Watch_Dogs).įor any issues with games, the TocaEdit X360 Controller Emulator is an excellent solution. The controller setup was easy ( miniCD provided works better than drivers from the internet ). The cable length is as advertised so if you want to play on a TV screen, make sure your rig is suitably placed. The analog controllers are at par with the PS controller and work smoothly. The buttons definitely feel cheaper than the PS controller but for the price, that should be expected. The product feels good enough to game with for hours on end and the layout is that of the standard PlayStation controller. If you are looking to play Battlefield or Skyrim, get Logitech F310-AP or better, Speedlink Xeox which is a carbon copy of, but at much lesser price than the official Xbox 360 wired controller. This gamepad is strictly not meant to be for FPS and TPS games. I managed to play all Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and NFS games. 2d platformers, arcade racing games and majority of the fighting games work good though. Non-functional analog sticks means playing games that require moving camera or aiming is virtually impossible. They are also exceptionally hard to move and imprecise, making it impossible to make round gestures required in certain fighting or hack-n-slash games. There is no deadzone in the Analog sticks, they are completely digital, which means racing simulaters like Dirt Rally can not be played with steering like precision. ![]() They would be shown as Button 1, 2, 3, 4 (all standard) / 5, 6, 7, 8 (triggers/bumpers) / 11, 12 ( functions of analog buttons) / 9, 10 (start and select) in various softwares/games. There are only 12 buttons apart from d-pad. Pressing the sticks though execute a function. Almost all reviewers fail to mention that the analog sticks are basically useless because they emulate the d-pad and fire buttons only. ![]()
